In February the entire school of Stevenson from Kindergarten to Grade 5 took part in a curling unit. Each class had the opportunity to gain a understanding of how the game of curling is played through drills and games in class. Students learned the anatomy of a curling rink (button, hog line, house, etc.) and some terms used when a player is delivering the rock (draw, take-out, peel, etc). The students had a great time participating in 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 curling games, as they worked on their game strategy and the social aspect of curling.

Mission Impossible 2015
The students at Stevenson spent two weeks in March participating in a gymnastics unit to prepare them for their ultimate test of completing our mission impossible obstacle course. This obstacle course gave the students a chance to apply their balancing, springing and rotation skills that they practice in our gymnastics unit.
